System at LML has been crashed for almost 2 weeks now.  Bummer!  Finally figured out problem.  It is the email sending module.  If there is no internet connection, this version of program should not be used.  I am going to run with the old version of the program that is being used at other sites.  Should work.

Got about 70 mL of clear water with a little grit at bottom.  Very pea soupy this morning, collected sample at 9:30. No drizzle, but true fog.  Took blank.  Removed frames and cleaned with 409, cleaned drip tray in place. Put back together and reset for tonight.

Lots of fog, but it was confined to lower elevation (foggy at my house, but  not at UCSC).  Thus no sample collected. Strand frames were removed and rinsed thoroughly with DI water at the sink.  Teflon tray was rinsed in place.  Sample jar was rinse and reused.  Program restarted, doors tested, ready to go for tonight.

Peter checked on the fog collector on the roof of ISB building and the doors were open but no fog sample.  There was not much fog, only high overcast during the night.  Strand frames were removed and rinsed thoroughly with DI water at the sink.  Teflon tray was rinsed in place.  Sample jar was rinse and reused.  Program restarted, doors tested, ready to go for tonight.  There’s fog in the forecast.

Full bottle and extremely clear water collected.  Blank taken.  System rinsed with all components in place.

100 mL sample collected at 12:30 pm.  Clearer sample than 140709. Fewer bugs in collector. Slight yellow color.  Strand frames removed and sprayed with DI.  Teflon tray not removed and sprayed with DI.  Blank taken.

Very foggy night, but only ~50 mL sample collected, a bit yellowish.  Lots of bugs in collector, removed frames and washed.  Left Teflon tray in place. blank taken.

System now set up in new location behind sand berm and behind the shop building.  Only 1-2 mL of sample collected.  Lots of insects and yellow liquid in drip tray.  Collector taken apart completely and washed with 409/DI.  No blank taken.  Checked switches.
