140725 ISB(UCSC)

Robert arrived at ISB at 7:45. The doors were open but no sample had been collected. The top plate, drip tray and the strand frames were removed and washed with 409 and DI. The inside of the collector was also rinsed with DI water. The system was reset for another sample.

140723 ISB(UCSC)

Robert arrived at ISB at 8:30. The doors were open but no sample had been collected. The top plate, drip tray and the strand frames were removed and washed with 409 and DI. The inside of the collector was also rinsed with DI water. The system was reset for another sample.

140718 ISB(UCSC)

Robert arrived at ISB at 9:30. The doors were open but no sample had been collected. The top plate, drip tray and the strand frames were removed and washed with 409 and DI. The inside of the collector was also rinsed with DI water. The system was reset for another sample and turned itself back on briefly as I left.

140716 ISB(UCSC)

Robert arrived at ISB at 9:00. Roughly 220 ml had been collected and the fan was still running. The top plate and the strand frames were removed and washed with 409 and DI. The inside of the collector was also rinsed with DI water. A blank of 200ml was taken after cleaning and reassembly. The system was reset for another sample and turned itself back on as I left.

140713 LML

Robert arrived at LML at 10:15. The doors opened but no sample had been collected. The top plate, drip plate, and the strand frames were removed and washed with 409 and DI. The inside of the collector was also rinsed with DI water. The sample jar was cleaned with DI and reused. The system was then reset for another sameple

140711 LML

Robert arrived at LML at 9:15. The doors opened and around 10ml had been collected. The top plate, drip plate, and the strand frames were removed for cleaning. The collector was disassembled and collection components washed with 409 and then DI. The sample in the jar was discarded and the jar rinsed with DI. The system was then reset for another sameple

140709 LML

Robert arrived at LML at 9:30. The doors opened and around 90ml had been collected. The top plate, drip plate, and the strand frames were removed for cleaning. The collector was disassembled and collection components washed with 409 and then DI. A blank was also collected. The system was then reset for another sameple

140630 ISB

Robert arrived at ISB at 9:15. The doors opened but no sample had been collected. The top plate, drip plate, and the strand frames were removed for cleaning. The collector was disassembled and the body and collection components washed with 409 and then DI. The collecting bottle was rinsed with DI and then reattached. The system still appears to be running normally and was reset for collection of another sample.

140629 LML

Robert arrived at the LML site at 9:15. The collector had been unplugged so the doors didn’t open and no sample was collected. The top plate, drip plate, and the strand frames were removed for cleaning. The body was rinsed with DI water and the fog collector components were then cleaned with 409 followed by thorough rinsing with DI water. The system was plugged back in, keep an eye out to see if it happens again.

140628 LML

Robert arrived at the LML site at 9:30. The doors to the fog collector had opened but no sample collected. The top plate and the strand frames were removed for cleaning. The body was rinsed with DI water and the fog collector components were then cleaned with 409 followed by thorough rinsing with DI water. System was reset for collection of next sample.
